Awake since 3. Sinuses are feeling kinda grody and the Monster energy drink I had last night around 10 is kicking in its second wave(?).

Whipped this up just to pass some time. Thought it appropriate being near Halloween and all. Kiki's Delivery Service is still my favorite Ghibli movie, though it may be tied with Porco Rosso.

This is so cute. I recently re-watched this after about ten years since the last time I saw it and it made me cry in a weird happy/nostalgia way.

I love this one. The bold palette and design choices (specifically the lack of linework) really sell it for me. Well done!

Great movie.  Not one of my personal favourites, but still a lot of fun to watch.  Nice work with a fairly minimalistic style.

Totally agree. Kiki rocks! It's my number 1 as well.
Porco is my number 6. (I only know cause I just made a top ten lists of my favorite Miyazaki movies: www.luisescobarblog.com/top-te….

Anyway, I love the drawing. So great and graphic.  Love your shapes.

Oh and I don't take energy drinks to stay awake. I take three 20min scheduled naps through out the day and take a four hour "core nap" from midnight to 4am.

Thanks, Luis!
Porco wasn't always a contender. As was your case, it grew on me the more I watched it. =)

How long does it take to get acclimated to a sleep schedule like that. It sounds pretty ideal for creating "more" time in the day—my only problem will be waking myself up from the naps instead of staying in bed. haha

It took me two weeks to get acclimated.
I use my iPhone alarm to remind me of the naps.
I set my iPhone timer to 20 mins and have no problem getting up. Especially since you don't actually go into deep sleep in 20 mins. It just makes you feel rested and recovered.

It's the "core nap" that's difficult to wake up from. I use an App called "Sleep Cycle" to wake me up at the ideal time in my sleep cycle (www.sleepcycle.com/).

Here are the articles I read that convinced me to do it:
dustincurtis.com/sleep.html

www.polyphasicsociety.com/poly…

everything2.com/title/Everyman…

And in regards to Porco, it's crazy right? Suddenly you watch it, and it's like, the greatest thing ever.
