Mickey -Pauper w. Sword- cell by MichaelMayne Mickey -Pauper w. Sword- cell by MichaelMayne
I got this idea the other day for a clever little Kingdom Hearts fanart.
Mickey, having been exiled from his castle by the nefarious Michael Eisner, who has control of the Heartless and has since taken the throne, reunites with Goofy and Donald to take back Disney Castle. Finally trekking their way to the throne room, Mickey, Goofy and Donald engage the evil King Eisner.
Kinda cheesey, but it pumps me up to think about it, if all it really took to get rid of Eisner were for his "properties" to stand up and fight back. If only, if only...!

So here's the Mickey I'm going to use in the full composition. He's in his peasant clothes from "The Prince and the Pauper" because I thought it would be kinda fitting for an exiled king. Also of note, Mick's weilding the Sword of Dreams from the beginning of Kingdom Hearts. Goofy and Donald will be brandishing the Shield and Rod of Dreams, respectively. I kinda wanna include Pete as well, and maybe even Sora. I just don't want the overall picture to be crowded, though...!

I'm really excited to finish the entire composition!

Maniac, I am a fan of the comic, I read it all the time, I am pumped up for this to be finished, I am a fan of the badass mouse king, and you are a genius with Michael Eisner and his "properties" to fight back! I just want it to happen!!

In fact, next time I go to Disneyland, I'm going to bring a gun, find Eisner and Montana, and shoot their brains out!!

...j/k. I'm only 18 and don't wanna go to jail or be forced to commit suicide. ^_^;
I really do want Eisner to die though!

HE BETRAYED THE SHAREHOLDERS! HE BETRAYED KING MICKEY AND LORD OSWALD!! HE MUST DIE FOR HIS CRIMES!!!!

My grandma has a VHS of The Prince and the Pauper at her house. I used to watch it all the time back at the farm (No, really, they live in a farm in Alabama). I liked that movie, especially when the Prince is taunting Donald in the middle of his Lessons LOL!!!

Of Coarse, we all know how the Overall fanfic goes. Congradulations, pardon the foul language, but that is the best damn Kingdom Hearts fanfic comic EVER!!! You should get started on it real soon and include one of the summons (Preferably Stitch, because he DID take part in the Heartless War scene). :excited:

I used to watch it all the time, except I was really dumb and could never get past the concept of having two different Mickeys... o_O I just recently "rediscovered" it when I bought the Walt Disney Treasures "Mickey Mouse In Living Color Vol. 2," which just so happens to have it on there. Actually, "The Prince and the Pauper" was one of the main reasons I bought the collection.
And yes! Down with Eisner!

o_o Wow, I'm definitely going to have to buy that Treasures DVD now! I missed out on the early volumes when I was in a majorly broke period, and now they're impossible to get. T_T Anyway, awesome work once again! Not nearly enough Mickey on DA, in my opinion....hey, have you seen The Three Musketeers movie yet, with Mickey, Donald & Goofy?

I too waited too long for the earlier Treasures... Didn't have the money at the time... :(
ANd yes, I bought the Three Musketeers the day it hit shelves! I liked it a lot! It's not exactly "old-school" Mickey and the gang, but you can tell the animators were given a bit more freedom to make the characters fun than is usual as of late! That I appreciated!! I got my copy for $15, and I thought it was worth it! There are quite a few genuinely funny and charming parts. IMHO, some of the best gags in the movie belong to Donald. Watch it and hopefully you'll see what I mean; I literally burst into laughter! My only qualm is that I wish it were longer; "The End" appears on the screen RIGHT AT the 1-hour mark, only to be followed by seven minutes of credits.
Anyways, I didn't mean to turn that into a mini-review of the DVD!! ^_^
And thanks again for the comment!!

Aww, it's only an hour long? Pity...oh well, I'm buying it anyway. I'm amazed to see that Minnie has a little curl of hair on her forehead in this movie...LOL! Also, on your recommendation, I just purchased a copy of the Mickey in Living Color Vol. 2 from eBay; can't wait for it to arrive. Ah, to see The Prince & the Pauper again...bliss!! ^_^ My VHS copy has long since worn out....I remember when it was in theatres with The Rescuers Down Under...now THAT was a great double bill!! ((Of course, I may be a tad bit biased when it comes to that particular short, since I'm a descendant of Mark Twain, who of course wrote the original Prince & the Pauper...but Mickey truly does it best. ^_^ ))

The Mickey in Living Color shouldn't disappoint you! I haven't gotten to watch all the shorts, but I already fell like I've gotten my money's worth! Disc 2 alone I think is worth the purchase!
that's cool that you're related to Mark Twain! Wish I was realated to somebody respectably famous like that...!
