Be sure to use the DOWNLOAD FILE link to the right to get the package »» Hey, folks! Been a while since I uploaded anything, looks like. Just been super busy with stuff that I can't show yet!
But here are some custom comic dialog balloons I made up last night and this morning!
They're a set of Photoshop custom shapes, so all you have to do is import them into your shapes palette and voila! Ten, spiffy, scalable dialog balloons for you to use! (Note that these are simply the balloons themselves—no tails. Don't really see a point in building the tails in since you'll likely need to move them around anyway!)
Feel free to use them for your own projects, no credit necessary. But do let me know if you use them, and where—I'd love to see them in action!
If you're going to share them, though, I do ask that you'd link back here directly, please. Just curious to see what kind of traffic these can yield is all.
I'll probably make more of these as time and necessity permits. Happy comicking!
have you seen this? it is a great (looking) program for lettering comics. i haven't used it yet but looks very easy to use and seems great. there is a video tutorial of it in action as well. seems alot easier than photoshop for lettering and you can import you ps file in and out easily. ----[link] -------
I have Comic Life, but I've never used it. Lora's mentioned it before and it raised my eyebrows. But I'm kind of with Chris in that I try to keep my process as streamlined as possible, so I haven't actually dabbled around with it yet since Photoshop's been working as my lettering utility and final compositor. I do want to give it a shot though!
Thanks! I like the balloons in Manga Studio, but for some reason the text entry functionality is for crap (at least on my computer) so for me it's easier to take everything over to Photoshop for lettering.
Those are some really good balloons.
